Title:  Director of Network Operations and Engineering
Location:  New York, NY
Job Type:  Direct Hire
Compensation:  $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per Year

Description:  This person will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of technology infrastructure engineering, implementation, and technical support serving a 1000+ global users covering Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Linux, Windows XP/Vista, IIS, Exchange 2000/2003, SQL Server 2000/2005, VMWare, SAN, VOIP, Audio/Visual, Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Desktops, Laptops, and Printers. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain world-class technical support team, overseeing technical support and services delivery
  • Access staffing levels, technical competence and hire, coach, motivate a strong team
  • Improve and maintain high customer satisfaction in accordance to Service Level Agreements
  • Control and reduce customer dissatisfaction and implement corrective action
  • Evaluate infrastructure needs and determine areas of cost savings
  • Capitalize on opportunities for economies of scale
  • Manage vendors
  • Set direction and enforce policy for Infrastructure
  • Contribute to and support infrastructure architectural decisions
  • Develop and ensure compliance with all security and controls standards and policies
  • Interface with Business and IT Managers regarding standards and practices
  • Effectively prioritize work; manage contradictory requirements in a constructive manner
  • Execute effective Project Management in all aspects of the role
Requirements:  The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
  • 5-10+ years of proven track record of enhancing technical infrastructure and operations organization by implementing improvements to process through innovation
  • Strong background in building and managing a dynamic infrastructure support organization through effective technical resource planning
  • Excellent track record of coaching/mentoring/growing technical support staffs and front-line managers
  • ITIL familiarity and certification
  • Deep understanding of Technology Infrastructure through previous hands on experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to implement and manage multiple mission critical initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with customers, peers, superiors and direct reports with strong conflict resolution skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly
  • Executive presence is highly desired with the ability to translate visions into plans of action
  • Technical Certifications such as MSCE, CCNA, and PMP are pluses
  • Global experience is desired
